How Do The O-Shot And P-Shot Work?
Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is a serum that is harvested by drawing a small amount of a patient's blood. It is spun in a centrifuge for about 15 minutes to separate out the PRP which has been shown to boost healing, blood flow, tissue regeneration, and the growth of healthy new cells. While your PRP serum is being prepared, the treatment area will be numbed with a local anesthetic to ensure your comfort. I'm so thankful to have found Dr. Easter, not only for his knowledge in HRT, but his empathy with his patients. My only regret is that I wish I did more research to find him sooner... Drawing blood to harvest the PRP is just like any other blood draw you may have had for diagnostic testing, but we only need a small amount — so this part of the procedure is very quick and easy.
